Is this the same as buying cc online and click checker to see if its good. But in reality it kills the card?

yep , its the same , if you want to test your card then sign up for a free trial of anything (netflix is my favorite) that will tell you if valid or but wont charge anything to the card so it will still be on...then use your valid card and if it doesnt work after that you probably might be trying to spend too much
